  fun stuff - stranger firsts

This is some Stranger trivia. All are Stranger firsts...

  • 1st Cincinnati Appearance: February 8, 2003
  • 1st Fan to get a Stranger Tatoo: unknown female fan, 2003 - shown at WO Wright's show
  • 1st Gig: July 4, 1986.
  • First Name: The Independents
  • Song Learned: "Just What I Needed" by the Cars
  • Drummer: Jeff …Phil Collins style (vocals and on the drums)
  • Recording: "Here We Go" in 1988.
  • Cincinnati Show: Jefferson Hall in 2003
  • Feature Stop in a Pub Crawls: December 2000 at Bolts
  • Member of Hispanic Descent: Alberto with his rendition of "La Bamba"
  • Roll and Roll Shirt: Big Dave at Byers Inn 1998
  • Brian's first gig with Stranger: at Gilly's, he made $0. Brian's second gig with Stranger was at WO Wrights, he made $5. Brian joined the band to earn extra cash.
  • The first song Brian learned to play in the band: "No Words" - which was an utter lie, as it had more lyrics than most.
  • First band Brian has played in where he didn't sing lead: Stranger
  • First Practice: Stranger never practices, they tried it once, but Jeff started cussing and swearing like a drunken sailor. Since then, Brian has learned not to mention Rick Springfield and "cheesy 80's pop fluff" in the same conversation.
  • Rob's first drumset: A Red Sparkle Drummate he bought for $50 he received for his 8th grade graduation. He later upgraded to a contact paper covered set when he got money from his first real job: Ponderosa Dishwasher.
  • Rob's first Rock band: "Circuit" at Miami University, which included Stranger's own Brian Elias.
